We stayed at a hostel near the sea, in a safe area, which was a great advantage. It was also conveniently located close to the airport, making our journey back home hassle-free. the room was spacious and well-decorated, providing us with a comfortable stay. the hostel staff were friendly and always willing to help. the breakfast offered was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from.

It would have been beneficial to have a toilet available after checking out of the room.

The location of the hostel near the beach would have been awesome. the staff was very helpful and happy to arrange taxis for us. the hostel was conveniently located near the waterside and nearer to the city center. the rooms were comfortable, and the bathrooms were kept very clean. the breakfast provided was simple but good. the common areas were well maintained and stylishly decorated.

Some guests mentioned that the Wi-Fi in the dorms was slow and the air conditioning could have been colder.

My recent stay at this hostel was amazing! I stayed for 5 days and the staff were incredibly friendly, offering helpful directions for exploring the area. The security measures in place made me feel safe throughout my stay. The budget breakfast exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend it. The rooms and bathrooms had beautiful wall designs and were very comfortable. The convenience of the nearby mall and bus stop, as well as the availability of taxi service, made getting around easy. I also appreciated the charging point next to the bed with the lights.

Great value for money, with a spacious and comfortable room. The location was perfect, with walking distance to some amazing restaurants. The staff treated us like royalty, especially Nimesh who went above and beyond to help us retrieve our lost camera.

Food for breakfast could use some improvement.

The location of this hostel is amazing, right next to a big mall where you can easily grab food from the food court. It is also conveniently located near places to eat. the rooms are clean and comfortable, with great facilities such as lockers and kitchen facilities. the staff are friendly and helpful, making sure you have a pleasant stay. the breakfast is delicious, with a mix of Western and traditional Sri Lankan options.

Sometimes guests and even staff forget to properly close the dorm room doors.

Our stay at My Little Island Hostel was fantastic. The dorm rooms were clean, modern, and spacious, providing great privacy. The lounge area had a cool decor, and the breakfast served was excellent. The staff were informative and helpful. I highly recommend this hostel for a quality stay in Colombo.

The hostel had amazing interior design with beautiful colors and wall decorations. The beds were super comfy with curtains for privacy, lights for night reading, and lockers for luggage. The bathrooms were always kept tidy. The staff were super friendly with beautiful smiles, always ready to help. Plus, the location was central, near to shopping malls and walking distance to the beach.

The rooms were very warm and the air conditioning needed to be on permanently. , there was major construction work happening nearby which created noise problems at night.

Christmas getaway at a Budget-friendly Hostel

During my Christmas stay, I was impressed by the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms, which had space double beds, clean toilets, and locks. the hostel's common areas were calm and relaxing, providing a perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. the availability of coffee and tea all day was a nice touch, and the breakfast offered was satisfying. the hostel's Wi-Fi was reliable, ensuring I could stay connected during my vacation.

One minor drawback was the lack of hooks inside the public shower cubicles, as they were only available on the outside of the cubicle doors. there was some noise from nearby construction that continued past 10 pm, and the water pressure in the showers was lacking.
